Friday July 1

Town of Lexington Independence Day Celebration

  • Join the Town of Lexington for an Independence Day Celebration at Icehouse Amphitheater! The 246th Army Band will play a concert from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. and there will be a fireworks show to follow. You can tune into to 93.1FM The Lake to listen to patriotic music during the fireworks show. Best viewing areas include the Icehouse Amphitheater, Main St. restaurants, Lexington Square Park, Lexington Veterans Monument, and any public parking lot in the Downtown Area. More here.

(The parking lots along Church Street will be closed all day. Virginia Hylton Park will close at 7:00pm. )

Star-Spangled Salute with Dick Goodwin

  • Come to Saluda Shoals Park for an evening of beautiful music with a patriotic concert featuring Dick Goodwin and the SC Philharmonic Brass.  Music begins at 7:30 p.m. at the River Birch shelter. Cox Family BBQ will have food for purchase. Beer, wine, and drinks will be available for purchase beginning at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a chair or picnic blanket. There will be no fireworks at this event.  $5 parking fee. Details.

Lexington Blowfish Baseball and Fireworks

  • Enjoy the American pastime with a local baseball game, then stick around for fireworks! Tickets here.

Saturday July 2

Kid’s 4th of July Parade

  • Kids are invited to show their patriotic spirit by decorating their bicycles, scooters, and wagons and wearing their red, white, and blue for the 6th Annual Kids’ 4th of July Parade, Saturday, July 2 in Downtown Camden. Pre-parade activities and a short program begin in front of Camden City Hall at 10 am. The parade will start at 10:30 am. This is a free event. Don’t forget to decorate your bicycle AND your helmet! Free sno-cones will be available to all participants following the parade. New for spectators! Watch the parade by parking on Rutledge Street in your decorated golf cart for a chance to win “Best Patriotic Golf Cart” and a $200 gift card from Rick Williams! Details here.

Lake Murray Boat Parade

  • Enjoy the patriotic display as locals & visitors decorate their boats in ways that will leave you amazed! Viewable from the park sites at the Lake Murray Dam after 1pm or by boat! This year’s theme is “Honoring our Heroes.” More here.

Rockin’ Red, White and Blue Celebration

  • The Town of Blythewood is back with another “Rockin’ Red White & Blue”! There will be food, live music, vendors, and more. This event is free to attend and will be from 5pm – 10pm at Doko Meadows Park! Info here.

Lake Murray Fireworks

  • Fireworks will launch at dark (9:15-9:30pm) from two lake locations: Spence Island & Dreher Island.  The fireworks show is synchronized to music.  Tune your radio to B106.7 to hear patriotic music while enjoying the view. For those who can’t witness the show in person, tune into WLTX -TV – they will televise the fireworks show on July 4th. Details here.

Fort Jackson Independence Day Celebration

  • Fort Jackson’s largest fireworks celebration returns Saturday, July 2, after a five-year hiatus. The free spectacular Fourth of July event celebrates our nation’s independence and will include family fun festivities, a kid zone with amusement rides, food and beverage truck vendors, and live music. To top off the night, attendees will also enjoy a spectacular fireworks display and cannon fire. The event will take place at Hilton Field at Fort Jackson and is open to the public. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, towels, and blankets and should make plans to arrive early for the best seats and parking. More info here.

Fireworks with the Phil

  • In conjunction with the South Carolina Philharmonic Orchestra, the Columbia Fireflies will host the second Fireworks with the Phil at Segra Park. Gates will open at 6:00 PM; the concert will begin at 8:00 PM, and the fireworks will start at 9:15 PM. Enjoy a patriotic program of music that celebrates the American experience, as well as the largest fireworks show in Segra Park history. $12. Tickets here. (No ballgame)

Sunday July 3

Lexington Blowfish Baseball and Fireworks

Town of Irmo 3rd of July Independence Day Celebration

  • Held in Irmo Town Park, enjoy a free movie (The Kid Who Would Be King) + food and fireworks! More on Facebook.

Monday July 4

Born in the USA Four Miler

  • Four Miler Race for adults in all age categories, Four Miler Relay, Firecracker Youth Race. Awards, t-shirts, best-dressed for 4th prize. Register here.

Lexington County Peach Festival

  • Arts and Crafts, parade, car show, live entertainment, fireworks! Info here.

4th of July at Living History Park

  • Step back in time to celebrate the birth of our country. Show your patriotic spirit and dress up in patriotic garb! Parade and costume contest. The Declaration of Independence will be read at 1:00 pm at the Meeting House. Free refreshments and hot dogs. The historic buildings will be open during the event for guests to tour. Pets are welcome as long as they are well-behaved and on a leash. More here.

Crabfest and Fireworks!

Columbia Fireflies and Fireworks
