Old McCaskill’s Farm is located in Rembert, just a few minutes from downtown Camden, SC. This farm is a wonderful place to get acquainted with the ins and outs of running a small farm and to enjoy a relaxing day visiting with animals and experiencing farm life. Old McCaskill’s raises sheep, goats, chickens, cows, and pigs as well as organic vegetables.

Guided tours and limited self tours are available. A guided tour includes border collie demonstrations, visits with baby animals (if recently born), meeting horses in the stable, a walking tour of the farm where your tour guide fields questions, and much more. Their animals are raised antibiotic and medication-free. It’s clear that the McCaskill family loves what they do and wants to share it. Three generations currently work on the farm. Guests are invited to roam the beautiful grounds freely. You’ll find swings, picnic tables, a pond with a gazebo, and a root cellar as well as the animals and gardens.

Every Friday Ashley (the McCaskills’ daughter) provides a homemade farm-to-table lunch from 11:30 am (first come first served). You can sign up for a newsletter and they’ll send you each week’s menu here. The food is great! There is a lunchroom for eating indoors or take your plate outside to enjoy the sunshine and surroundings and eat at a picnic table.

A farm store on-site offers lots of farm products including wool blankets, scarves, caps, and other items produced with wool sheared from Old McCaskill’s sheep. Food for sale includes farm-produced jellies and jams, meat products (frozen – bring your cooler), eggs, canned goods, and many gift items. Ashley’s frozen meals are sold too.

A large vegetable garden is tended each year and its harvest allows for lots of canned goods, canned on-site. Want to learn how to can? Take a class at Old McCaskill’s. They also sell canning supplies. Check their website for more information.
The McCaskills host several big events each year.
Sheep Shearing Day

Farm-fresh concessions are available. Check their website for more info.
Fall Family Farm Day
