Near Rosewood Elementary School, Dano’s Pizza is a locally owned restaurant serving and delivering pizza since 2003. Dano’s Pizza supports local businesses and artists by sourcing some of its alcohol from local breweries and hosting live music events as often as possible. Great reviews on TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Google say the atmosphere is lively, delivery is always reliable, and every pizza is perfectly cooked.
Delucca’s Italian Grill
Next to the entrance for Riverbanks Botanical Garden, Delucca’s Italian Grill is a locally owned and operated restaurant that has been serving Italian cuisine since 2006. Delucca’s prides itself in the fact that everything is made in-house, from dough to sauce. Excellent reviews on TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Google say the in-house sauce and dough, along with the perfect crispness, set it apart from everyone else.
Next to Backstreets Grill on the corner of Devine and Meadow Street, Il Giorgione is a locally owned and operated Italian Restaurant since 2012. Named after the owner, George Kessler, and established after rediscovering a love for his own Italian heritage while studying the culture at University of South Carolina and abroad in Italy. Satisfied reviews on TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Google commend the authenticity, the calm atmosphere, and the commitment to quality. Reservations not required, but recommended.
At Trenholm Plaza, off the intersection of Forest Drive and Trenholm Road, Tazza Kitchen has been serving wood-fired pizza since 2014. Despite selling Pizza, the founders say the concepts for Tazza Kitchen’s community focus and wood oven recipes were inspired by restaurant practices seen in Mexico. Fan reviews on TripAdvisor, Yelp, and Google say that the pizza is flavorful, the cooking is quality, the portions are hefty, and the open design of the restaurant is inviting.
