Bowers Farm is located in Pomaria, SC (Newberry County) and offers visitors an up-close-and-personal experience with wonderful farm animals as well as a taste of country farm life in South Carolina. Brandon Bowers is the owner, and he welcomes guests for farm tours, educational opportunities and as overnight visitors in his family’s guest suite.

Farm tours are lots of fun as visitors get to meet the farm family of chickens, pigs, cows, turkeys, sheep, goats, and ducks. The most popular four-legger is definitely Chief, the livestock guardian dog.

Playing farmer-hosts to groups, organizations, and kids camps, Bowers Farm gives participants more than just a morning or afternoon stroll about the farm. The farm staff want folks to come away with knowledge about where our food comes from and how a small farm operates in the production of our food. In the summer of 2021, they held the first Summer Camp for 3-5-year-olds. They plan on doing this again in Summer 2022. Looking for an overnight or weekend farm experience? Bowers Farm offers a private guest suite with a private entrance, two bedrooms sleeping up to 6, a kitchenette, and a full bath. Guests can enjoy the sunrise and the sunset from the farmhouse porches. Tours of the farm can be arranged as well. Reservations for the guest suite are made through Airbnb here.

Everything’s just better from a small local farm. They raise a variety of livestock on the farm and they are always growing in new ways! They currently have cows, sheep, goats, turkeys, rabbits, ducks, pigs and both meat and egg-producing chickens. All of their animals are raised ethically and humanely and enjoy as much time as they can give them out on their green polyculture pastures. Small cuts are available for sale.
